Why Try Morris Dancing?

Morris Dancing is an aerobic form of dance which provides healthy excercise and social activity. Woodside's Foreman, Dave Pearse, is an expert instructor, having trained Morris Dancers, both new and old, for over twenty years, as well as being a folk dancer of nearly four decades experience.

During the Winter, Woodside Morris Men meet at 8.00pm on Wednesday nights in the Colne River Rooms at the Pump House Arts Centre Watford. If you would like to take part in our activities, please feel free to come along. It would take a few months for Dave to get you dancing, with a view to getting you into full kit within a year or so, when you are able to take full part in all our dances.

From the M1: Exit at Junction 5, Watford, and from the roundabout, take the link road towards the town centre. At the second roundabout on the link road, take the second exit, you should see Tesco on your left hand side. At the lights, stay left and take the second turning on the left, just before the Watford Hightstreet station. Local Board Road is a few hundred yards down on the right.

New or experienced dancers are welcome to come along, or if you have a musical talent, bring your instrument.
