Woodside Morris Men - Last pub trip of the Summer, at the White Horse, Hedgerley

Sadly, Summer has now departed, though many would have mistaken for thinking it had never quite pulled into the station this year. Although the dance season still isn't over yet, we pulled up to the White Horse in Hedgerley for our final pub do of the year. The White Horse is an absolutely cracking pub with a fantastic selection of beers and good food, and is a venue for a number of Morris sides that like a convivial surrounding for their dancing.

Over the last ten years or so, the White Horse has become the venue for our official season closer, and we always seem to be lucky with the weather. This year was up to the usual standard, with an appreciative if not a little more inquisitive crowd than usual, with a good number of them joining in for Bonny Green Garters at the end.

Photos of the event were taken by Gary Munnelly, who accepted a morris beer, but once again failed to do the Bonny Green thing at the end, due to an old Morris wound. We'll get him one day, but until then, thanks for the photos!
