CALLING ALL MORRIS DANCERS
You too can enjoy the fun of the Nine Days Wonder. There has already been interest expressed in the event by TV, Radio and the Press, and Tim would like to maximise the positive impact by inviting all Morris Dancers to join him on the diffferent legs of the journey, either for a short stretch or a nice long stretch.
SEND US YOUR EMAIL!
If you would like to be kept informed of what is going on, please send your email to either Tim or Woodside's Dave D, and we will strive to keep you up to date with where and when each leg of the journey will be taking place, and when any special events take place to celebrate or promote the event.

Tim FitzHigham's
Nine Days Wonder
28 June to 7 July 2008
Nine Days Wonder Home
What is it? What's happening?
There are a select few people who have followed William Shakespeare’s second favourite Bottom from London to Norwich, but none of them have ever been Tim FitzHigham before. But now, all that is to change.
In 1599, William Kemp, the man for whom the Bard wrote the part of Bottom, Morris danced from the Nation’s capital to what was then one of our greatest cities (in the days of sheep and weavers), and now Tim aims to relive that great player’s glory.
Find out more about Tim on his website: FitzHigham.com
Kemp’s nine daes wonder was executed pretty much in the style of a television serial, such as Doctor Who, whereby adventures in frollick and fun would be performed over a number of weeks with a few days in-between episodes. However, and in reflection of today’s modern, must have now society (as well as pressing, not to mention lucrative professional engagements either side), Tim has promised that no such delay will be incurred between instalments!
Tim has been honing his Morris skills among the member’s of Woodside Morris Men who have less to lose in terms of reputation, namely Wayne Lang and Dave Dunham, and is very nearly ready to expose his own brand of Field Town Morris, dubbed the Wild Morris by his personal trainers, to the outside world. And in June 2008, he intends to undertake this adventure with the goal of raising the profile of Morris dancing, and having a bit of fun along the way.
This adventure will be conducted in a similar manner to Tim’s previous escapades, such as: his victorious rowing of the River Thames in a paper boat; his literally quixotic jog across the Spanish desert in a suite of armour; and the now notorious crossing of the Channel in a Thomas Crapper bath tub, currently the subject of a very reasonably priced tome available from all decent book stores (In the Bath, Random House).
