Nine Days Wonder Home

The Second Wonder - Romford to Margaretting

Things were tough for Tim today, setting off from Romford nursing aching limbs and having to dodge the rozzers, but things would soon brighten up.

Tim started the day by unwinding his aching body, pulling the requisit parts back into one coherent, viable humanoid form, and setting off for Ingatestone. Sadly, he did not only have to struggle on with the aches and pains from the previous day, but also with the attentions of the Essexshire Constabulary, who took some persuading to accept that a 16 century fools outfit was not a cunning disguise by which he would infiltrate and undermine the fine burgers of Romford.

Once our intrepid hero had built up a head of steam though, and crossed his Rubicon, in this case the M25, he was out into the Essex countryside, and pleasantly capering along on a fine June day.

Any bad taste left in the mouth from the morning's diversions was soon washed away completely as people started hailing him, stopping to chat and ask about the Wonder, and even giving money for Tim's charitable collection.

Despite these kindly, and appreciated interuptions, and a torrent of good luck messages and requests for updates on his mobile phone, Tim made it to Ingatestone in good time, eventually stopping at Margaretting for the night.
